Stardew Valley has many types of fish in its rivers, and one of them is the Bream. It’s not super rare, but it’s still important to catch. Whether you want money, to complete your collection, or just like fishing at night, catching Bream can help you out. In this guide, we will know all about Bream, where to find it, & how to catch it in Stardew Valley.

    Finding Bream In Stardew Valley

Bream are a beloved night fish in the Stardew Valley universe. They are most active between 6:00 PM and 2:00 AM, making them a great catch for those who enjoy the tranquility of night fishing.

To find Bream, head to any of the rivers in the game. The river running through Pelican Town is a good spot to start with. If you fancy a change of scenery, the Cindersnap River on the southwest side of town also has plenty of Bream. Remember, these fish aren’t picky about the rod you use, so don’t worry too much about your fishing gear.

It’s also worth noting that keeping a Bream on hand can be beneficial later in the game. These fish are used in some crafting recipes and quests, so catching a few extra might be a good idea!

    Catching Bream In Stardew Valley

Although Bream are common, catching them requires a slight adjustment to your usual fishing habits. As nocturnal creatures, Bream are most active between 6:00 PM and 2:00 AM. So, plan your fishing trips accordingly.

The game doesn’t put too much emphasis on the location when it comes to catching Bream. You can find them in any river, whether it’s the one flowing through Pelican Town or the Cindersnap River to the southwest.

Although Bream aren’t particularly feisty, reeling them in requires a bit of skill. The key is to focus on keeping the green bar within the yellow zone on the fishing mini-game. If you’re having trouble, consider using bait like a Spinner or a Cork Bobber to increase your chances of a bite or make reeling easier. However, remember that these are not mandatory.

    Uses Of Bream

Bream’s value goes beyond simply being sellable fish. They can be eaten to restore your energy and health, with better quality Bream providing a bigger boost.  For the adventurous chef, Bream can be an ingredient in tasty dishes like Baked Fish or Sashimi.  Crafty players can utilize Bream as a blue dye for clothing or to create a dyeable Fish Shirt.

Even if you’re not feeling creative, Bream can be sold for cash, with the price increasing if you have the “Fisher” profession. Keep an eye out for Bream requests on the “Help Wanted” board or consider gifting them to raise your friendship with some villagers.

Finally, Bream can be placed in a Fish Pond to produce Roe, which can be further aged into even more valuable Aged Roe.  So next time you catch a Bream, remember – it might be much more than just a common fish!

    Last Words

Bream is a helpful fish in Stardew Valley. It’s easy to find at night in rivers. Catching it isn’t too hard, but you need to be patient.
